"You Know Me" by Bethel Music

Oh. My. Goodness. This song. . .

A lot of music has a way of pulling me in and making me want to move with it - sometimes physically (but not usually cause I'm a horrid dancer) but more figuratively.  I think it does that to everyone to some degree or another.  This song though is one of the most beautiful songs that I've ever heard.  It is exceptional, in my opinion. And I don't say that lightly.
I also don't say it just because it has a beautiful masterpiece of piano music in the background or because Steffany Frizzell (singing) has a fantastic voice.  It's the combination of those things and the beautiful words of truth that are interwoven in the lyrics.  See for yourself:
"You have been
And You will be
You have seen
And You will see

You know when I rise and when I fall
When I come or go, You see it all
You hung the stars and You move the sea,
And still You know me

Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh, You know me
Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

You have been
And You will be
And You have seen
And You will see

And nothing is hidden from Your sight
Wherever I go, You find me
And You know every detail of my life
And You are God and You don't miss a thing
You memorize me"
I have such an appreciation for this song because of it's strength in fragility.  The tune of the song is so moving but the words are so immovable- so true.  It's the kind of song that forces you to stop and listen and acknowledge what you've really been feeling and knowing deep down.  There are few songs that I've heard with this kind of strength in them, combined with a note of tenderness and fragility.  I like it. A lot.

P.S. I'm working on listening to the whole Loft Sessions album from Bethel Music and so far, I recommend the rest of the album too!
